About Josh
Josh is an educator, leader, and parent based in Baltimore. His experiences range from classroom teaching, coaching new teachers, leading a school as a principal, working in a large district office, and in nonprofits of all shapes, sizes, and missions. Josh is passionate about challenging the status quo as a means to drive outcomes for young people and teams.
Josh graduated from The George Washington University (magna cum laude) with a BA in Human Services. He joined Teach For America and was among the first groups of special educators to join the program in Baltimore. He earned a MA in Special Education from Notre Dame of Maryland University as part of that experience. After five years of teaching, Josh joined New Leaders and became a principal, also in Baltimore. Josh then transitioned to district office with Baltimore City Public Schools, where he worked as Director of Operations in the Office of Teaching & Learning. Most recently he has worked with nonprofits in roles focused on fundraising, programmatic supervision, and executive management. Josh lives in Baltimore with his wife, their two daughters, a dog, and a cat (who will join your Zoom calls).
